Casual chic is the perfect way to describe this family’s beautiful new Marietta home. A balance of comfort, glamour, and fun were the top priorities in making this house both livable and sophisticated.
Upon entering, a colorful foyer welcomes family and friends with bold hues and elegant metals. To the right, the vibrant dining room offers the perfect place to host a wild dinner party. A mix of classic and modern elegance, the space is made complete with its own share of colorful design elements.
A simple, yet functional breakfast room continues the theme of bright colors, mixed with traditional elements and modern touches. We separated the clients’ existing dining set to use the table in the dining room, but kept the chairs in the breakfast room. They are much happier with the mix + match feel in both rooms and the fact that we were able to reuse pieces they still loved and integrate their changing taste.
The great room is made for gathering, with its soft textures and sleek furniture. It balances being kid and pet friendly, while still maintaining its modern elegance. Even Norman, the family labradoodle, is often caught snoozing away on the comfy furniture.
A cheerful home office makes getting work done a breeze. Twin brass shelves provide much-needed storage space, while providing a beautiful way to display fun accessories. The vintage over-dyed rug layers with its sisal underlayment and adds in a traditional touch to this bold room.
Guests are invited to be a part of the fun in this first floor guest suite. The space is a continuation of the elegance, and brings in vibrant colors and prints, including the striking wallpapered ceiling. Brass accents on the lighting, furniture, and accessories contrast the elegant, neutral textiles and furniture and bold accessories. Live plants and flowers bring even more color and life into the space, while adding a casual element to the design.
